The Montessori Society of Western Australia is an umbrella
organisation which assists those interested in Montessori theory
and practice and various Western Australian Montessori schools
and playgroups at local and national levels.

The society performs a number of roles:
• it provides advice and contacts about Montessori schools
and playgroups in W.A.
• it offers contacts and information to schools and playgroups
needing resources.
• it coordinates events in Western Australia which promote
and publicises Montessori education in the community.
• and it acts as a forum for discussion, ideas, and the
transfer of information.

It is not involved in the control or administration of any school;
it is not an accrediting authority.
